Finance Department - Parking Enforcement

The Parking Enforcement Division enforces vehicle parking and licensing regulations within the boundaries of the Village.

The Village maintains meters, lots with meters and some zoned 
permit parking: 

  • Skokie Swift South Lot is adjacent to the Skokie Swift Station.  The fee is $4 per day payable in the fee boxes at the Station.  The fee must be paid with tokens which must be purchased from the token machines located in the Station.  Tokens are valued at $2 each and two tokens are required for the daily fee.  Tokens can be purchased with cash, credit or debit cards. 
  • Skokie Swift North Lot is across Dempster Street north of the Skokie Swift Station.  The fee is $2 per day payable in the fee boxes at the Swift Station.  The fee must be paid with tokens which must be purchased from the token machines located in the Station.  Tokens are valued at $2 each and one token is required for the daily fee.  Tokens can be purchased with cash, credit or debit cards.  A limited number of spaces are available for monthly permit fee of $40.00 and applications are required.
  • Lincoln/Lotus Lot has limited spaces available as permit parking which is zoned by residence location.  The fee is $60.00 for six months and applications are required.  
  • Mulford/Terminal Lot has limited spaces available as permit parking which is zoned by residence location.  The fee is $60.00 for six months and applications are required.
  • Niles Center/Skokie Blvd. Lot has limited spaces available as permit parking which is zoned by residence location.  The fee is $60.00 for six months and applications are required.
Many of the Village parking lots offer free parking especially in the downtown area.  Parking violation citations will be issued to registered owners of vehicles who park vehicles without paying the proper fee, without displaying the appropriated permit, or are found in violation of other Village ordinances or State of Illinois Vehicle Codes.  These violations are subject to the Administrative Hearing process.

Parking Enforcement is located at the Collections Division window on the first floor of Skokie Village Hall, 5127 Oakton Street, Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Village Hall will be closed on Saturdays during 2010.  The Village apologizes for any inconvenience.  A payment drop box is located in the parking lot on the north east corner of Oakton Street and Floral Avenue.  Payments for Village of Skokie water bills, parking tickets and other non-moving violations, and miscellaneous invoices may be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week online by clicking here.
