New Resident Checklist

  • Register to vote at the Village Clerk's Office in Village Hall, 5127 Oakton Street.  Registration hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Click here to view voting district map.
  • Purchase vehicle stickers.
  • Confirm that your water bill has been updated to reflect your information.
  • Confirm your twice-weekly garbage collection, weekly yard waste and recycling collection schedules.  Click here to learn more.

  • Telephone service is not regulated by the Village and residents may choose from many service providers.
  • Cable Television: Skokie residents may choose cable service from among two cable service providers:
    • Comcast: 800/266-2278
    • RCN: 1-800/746-4726
    • AT&T: 888/531-5746 or 855/637-9526
      - AT&T has initiated a multi-year expansion of its U-Verse network in parts of Skokie.  Parts of Skokie will begin to have access to U-Verse in 2014. It is anticipated that by the end of 2015 approximately 66% of residential property owners will have the option to subscribe to this service.
