Advisory Boards and Commissions Plan Commission It is the responsibility of the Plan Commission to maintain the Skokie Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan as effective planning tools. Staff advisors are provided by the Corporation Counsel's Office and Community Development Department. The Plan Commission is an advisory body to the Mayor and Board of Trustees. This Commission reviews requests for Zoning Ordinance amendments, property rezonings, the vacation of public street and alleys, Special Use Permits, Planned Developments and other matters related to land use.
