Emergency Medical Services

The Skokie Fire Department provides Emergency Medical Service (EMS) to the community. Fire Department paramedics respond to more than 5,700 incidents each year in homes, public buildings, industrial and commercial establishments and on the streets. Three advanced life support ambulances are staffed and available around the clock to provide life-saving treatment in medical emergencies.

For the past 30 plus years, the Skokie Fire Department has provided state-of-the-art ambulance service and emergency medical care. From the early days of station wagons to today’s modular Advanced Life Support Units, Skokie firefighters have continued to meet the needs of the community.
