The Human Services Division, a part of the Village Manager's Office, provides social services to all Skokie residents. Human Service staff provides short-term counseling, information and referrals, social services, and in some cases, limited emergency financial assistance to residents of the Village of Skokie. The Division also offers activities to Skokie citizens at the Smith Activities Center.

Please see the following pages for detailed information on the many valuable services and programs provided by the Human Services Division. Some of these services include the Meals on Wheels and Assist-A-Family Program, Lending Closet and the Youth Outreach Program for youthful offenders.

The Skokie Senior Transportation for Area Residents or STAR Program offers curb-to-curb service Monday through Friday, both in Skokie and to specific, nearby medical offices and facilities outside of the community. Click here for STAR Program details.
