NewSkokie NEWSKOKIE, the Village's informational newsletter, is mailed to residents at least ten times each year. One or more special editions of NEWSKOKIE are usually sent during the year as well and focus on one or two specific Village programs. NEWSKOKIE is written and edited by the Village Manager's office staff and includes information on the wide array of services and programs available to Skokie residents. Columns are devoted to Health Department news, a report on the Village Board activities, Police and Fire Department information and Smith Center activities. Program notes for the Skokie Public Library and the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie appear in NEWSKOKIE. The NEWSKOKIE was selected as a third place winner in the 2001 Communicator Print Awards. The Communicator Awards in an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field.
