Community Activities Upon request, the Department provides Crime Prevention presentations for community or business groups. The presentation can be tailored to the specific needs of the audience. The Department accepts appointments (from Skokie residents) to check your child safety seat. The proper installation and use of the child safety seats is critical. The process takes approximately 20-45 minutes. Please dial (847)982-5996 to schedule an appointment.
