Resources For Businesses

Outdoor Dining and Signage Changes Now in Effect

Now that the Village and State have reached Phase 5 with no COVID restrictions, outdoor dining and tents are no longer permitted. Outdoor dining remains permitted for establishments that possess a special use permit specifically for outdoor dining and for restaurants in the downtown area that were previously permitted. In addition, all temporary and non-permitted signs must also be removed. These signs may also include banners, feather signs, a-frame signs, etc. If you would like to learn how to obtain a permit, please contact the Village of Skokie's Building & Zoning Division at (847) 933-8223.

Phase 5 Guidance For Businesses and Venues  - Illinois and Skokie Reach Full Recovery

The Village of Skokie has prepared updated signage to encourage patrons to continue wearing masks (although not required and the decision is up to each business to determine their policy).  If you would like to download and print the updated sign, CLICK HERE.
