CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY NOTICE:

Nicor Gas Infrastructure Replacement Project

In the coming weeks, Nicor will begin local gas main replacement projects in two areas of Skokie. Residents affected by the project should have recently received a notice in the mail with project details. The first phase of the project is inspecting the sewers within the project area. After that, Nicor’s contractor will begin installing gas mains, followed by gas service line replacement. The project will conclude with restoration of sidewalks and lawns. The approximate project locations are:

  • Between Jarvis and Howard Streets and Tripp and Keystone Avenues
  • Between Mulford and Howard Streets and Kenton and Kenneth Avenues

For more information, please contact Nicor construction supervisor Robert Holinka at 224-306-8519 or rjholink@southernco.com.
