Visit 2020CENSUS.GOV or call 1-844-330-2020 to respond to the census today.
Households that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census will be receiving a final postcard directly from the U.S. Census Bureau between July 22 and July 28 reminding of the importance of self-response during the ongoing global pandemic. While census takers will be wearing personal protective equipment and will follow all safety protocols, the Census Bureau strongly encourages the public to respond online at 2020census.gov. Households can respond online or by phone in English or 12 other languages or by mail using the paper questionnaire mailed to nonresponsive addresses.
Although census takers will start visiting households that haven’t yet responded beginning August 11, you can still respond on your own until these visits conclude, avoiding the need for the in-person visit.
Refusal to answer all or part of the census carries a $100 fine. The penalty goes up to $500 for giving false answers.
