Please let us know how your Skokie Spirit is Shining Through!
In support of the Village’s Skokie Spirit Shines Through campaign, the Skokie Public Library created the Skokie Lights the Night initiative. Every Wednesday night, residents are asked to turn on on any kind of light in their front window, on the front porch or in the front yard every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. The Library staff suggest trying a flameless candle, string lights, your smartphone light, a flashlight, a battery or solar lantern or simply turn on your porch light. Please don’t use regular candles! Take a picture and sent it to info@skokie.org for the Skokie Spirit Shines Through webpage.
Skokie Spirit Shines Through: Make a No-Flame Lantern
Show your Skokie spirit and participate in the Skokie Spirit Shines Through campaign and Skokie Lights the Night by creating a no-flame lantern, an activity created by Skokie Public Library! See easy instructions.

The Skokie Spirit Shines Through campaign demonstrates the community’s hope, neighborliness and resiliency during this difficult time for all of us. Please submit a photo from your neighborhood showing community spirit, or send a brief message for posting on the page to info@skokie.org. Post on your social media, too and add #skokiespiritshinesthrough.
