From Police Chief Anthony Scarpelli:
I can assure the community that Skokie Police Officers have taken a solemn oath to serve and protect all residents of the Village of Skokie. The Skokie Police Department will always respond to any call-for-service or emergency call at any location in Skokie, including District 219 schools, regardless of the District’s decision regarding retaining School Resource Officers on school grounds going forward. If an incident or emergency occurs at one of the District 219 schools, the Skokie Police Department will always respond quickly and professionally as it does to any location in the Village of Skokie. Skokie Police officers are among the most dedicated and finest public servants in the country and accept the responsibilities of their oath of office without question.
