Please do your part to keep Skokie clean and beautiful. The Village continues to receive reports of littered protective masks and gloves, in addition to the usual - but sad - fast-food wrappers, plastic water bottles, etc.
Shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic began in spring 2020, the Litter Task Force held a poster contest for Skokie students to help spread an anti-littering message. The poster below was created by Matthew Rodriguez-Solovev who was a member of the Madison School Art Club in spring 2020. Great message, Matthew!
Please don’t litter and consider safely picking up litter that you see in your neighborhood! The creative, clever staff at the Skokie Public Library shows how to create a ’grabber’ from household items that can be used to pick up litter. See instructions for making a grabber.
