The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced that Region 10, which includes Skokie and much of suburban Cook County, is moving to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan effective today. This change is due to the area meeting established benchmarks for reductions in the COVID-19 positivity rate, the number of individuals being treated in ICU beds and COVID-19 hospitalizations.
A Phase 4 Guidelines Overview can be found on the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity website. Phase 4 Guidelines include permitting indoor dining and drinking for parties of up to 10 people, with seating areas at least six feet apart or closer if impermeable barriers are in place. Just in time for Skokie Restaurant Week! (See article below.) Meetings and groups are now limited to the lesser of 50 people or fifty percent of room capacity.
