The Village of Skokie joins the Skokie Public Library and other community partners in celebrating
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month throughout May.
Here is information from the Skokie Public Library about the programs they have lined up for the month-long celebration:
The month starts off for kids learning about Hawaii through Adventure Club on May 3. Events planned for adults focus on celebrating heritage by celebrating history. For the first event of the month for adults, Laura Houcque Prabhakar will speak about Why AAPI History Matters on Saturday, May 7 from 1-2 pm.
