Road construction is starting up again for the season and includes street resurfacing as well as other projects, such as sewer and water main repairs. The Village resurfaces an average of seven miles of streets each year, with other scheduled projects to be conducted by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Nicor Gas and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.
