In December, the Village Board directed the Plan Commission to study affordable housing and to conduct public hearings to develop policy recommendations. At its last meeting, the Plan Commission extended the process and added an additional meeting on March 16 at 7:30 p.m. It is anticipated that the Plan Commission will discuss the draft goal areas, strategies, and inclusionary housing policy framework.
Once the recommendations are complete, the date of Plan Commission Chair Paul Luke’s presentation to the Village Board will be announced on the Village of Skokie website and in SkokieNews.
