[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Halloween in Skokie

Downtown Skokie Trick-or-Treat event

Oakton College Trunk or Treat, October 20

The Skokie Police Department will participate in Oakton College's Trunk or Treat event on Friday, October 20, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Oakton College's ECE Center Parking Lot, 7701 Lincoln Ave. Bring the family to enjoy a free, fun and safe trick-or-treat event, including games and activities for all ages, refreshments, music and more. In the event of inclement weather, the event will move indoors to the Art Lobby.

Downtown Skokie Trick-or-Treat, October 28

Join the Village of Skokie, Skokie Chamber of Commerce and Kaleidoscope Dance and Movement Center for the annual Downtown Skokie Trick-or-Treat & Halloween event on Saturday, October 28, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Trick-or-treat begins on Oakton Street at the Crafty Beaver parking lot and extends west to Lincoln Avenue, continuing north to St. Peter Church and south to Galitz Street.

Enjoy live DJ music, activity stations, window art provided by School District 69, and more. Free trick-or-treat bags provided by North Shore Community Bank & Trust / Wintrust Bank will be available at the Crafty Beaver starting point and Krier Plaza.

Skokie Farmers' Market, October 29

Bring your ghosts, ghouls, and goblins to the Farmers' Market on Sunday, October 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pick up a bag at the green Skokie Farmers' Market tent located in front of Village Hall near Oakton Street. All Market farmers and vendors will have candy to hand out. While you're there - shop the harvest!

Official Skokie Trick-or-Treat, October 31

Official Skokie trick-or-treat hours are Tuesday, October 31, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participating homes are encouraged to turn their porch light on. (Please do not ring doorbells outside of official trick-or-treat hours, or ring bells of homes without porch lights on.)
