Michele Bromberg was elected to the Village Board in
2001. She currently serves as the Village Board liaison to the Board of Health and Consumer Affairs Commission.
received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University
Marcella-Niehoff School of Nursing in Chicago and has a Master of
Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Rush University. Ms.
Bromberg is the Nursing Coordinator for the Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation. She is responsible for planning
and implementing state-wide policy for the uniform administration of the
Illinois Nurse Practice Act and Rules.
Ms. Bromberg also is the Supervisor of the Illinois Nursing Workforce Center that was created under her
leadership to analyze the nursing
manpower in Illinois, ensure quality of health care and access to care
for Illinois citizens. She serves on various task force groups that address health care issues faced by citizens throughout the State of Illinois. Ms. Bromberg is a member of Or
Torah Congregation. She has lived in Skokie with her husband Leo since
1993, is mother to five children and has five grandchildren.
