Edie Sue Sutker
is a life-long Skokie resident and was appointed to the Village Board
in 2004, having served for nearly 10 years on the Skokie Plan
Commission. She serves as the liaison to the Consumer Affairs and Cable
Television Advisory Commissions and served as Vice-Chairperson of the
Skokie Committee on Downtown Development.
has a master's degree in social work from Loyola University, Chicago
and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of
Illinois, Champaign. Ms. Sutker
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for Jewish Child and Family
Services in Northbrook. Before her social work career, she was in the
investment business for 14 years and earned her Series 7 and Series 63
In addition, she was the Executive Director of the VisionTek Foundation, which raised more than $650,000 to fight cancer and leukemia. She is a life member of NA'AMAT USA and Hadassah, a member of the National Association of Social Workers and also a member of the Ezra-Habonim
Niles Township Jewish Congregation. She enjoys race walking, biking,
swimming, weight lifting and spending time with her family.
